After having released twelve albums, Guy Manning thought a short hiatus was in order and it was guitarist/vocalist Kev Currie who suggested to record one of their ‘Akoustic’ sets and release it in this quiet (Manning) period. Says Manning: “I thought this was a splendid idea. It would be a good chance to show off the other side of what the band can do and to put on display, in a semi-live fashion, songs which under normal circumstances the bigger ‘Elektrik’ band would not perform.” Could well be, but as is the case with most of those acoustic albums, it’s only something for the real fans.
