After a first album (“Electrode”) published by Great Winds label / Musea in the year 2008, the singer-guitarist Roland Gassin comes with the project Sphin’x. The band offers music on the border of rock, pop, electro and progressive rock and navigates well between vintage and modern sound. It draws its musical influences in the past four decades, with bands like Pink Floyd, The Who, Tears For Fears, Simple Minds, Porcupine Tree and Phoenix … It is also necessary to add a “fifth element” – electro programming, present both in studio and concert. The titles are sung in English, they address various topics, such as human relations, underworld, disillusionment, or finding out what have happened to “guitar heroes”: an important issue … Isn’t it?
