On June 7, 1969, Blind Faith (Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Rick Grech, Ginger Baker) gave the first concert in Hyde Park, London, in front of over 100,000 visitors, which made the band immediately known.
In the same year Blind Faith released their only album named after the band, of which 400,000 copies were sold in the first week of sales. The album reached number 1 in both Great Britain and the USA and stayed in the US charts for 37 weeks in the top 100. It is still considered in the rock music scene due to the successful synthesis of blues, rock and pop A milestone in progressive British blues rock.
