ADD REAL CD-Rip + Scans! here’s one of the recently remastered albums (for the first time) from duo DeGARMO & KEY, who in fact were a full band led by keyboardist Eddie DeGarmo: and frontman / guitarist Dana Key. DeGarmo & Key were forerunners and pioneers of early CCM rock, but their music transcended outside religious circles and reached several markets all over their 3-decade career.

This Ain’t Hollywood” is DeGARMO & KEY third album and being from 1980, it really needed a sonic refresh, now remastered by Rob Colwell (Bombworks Sound) with a pristine sound quality.
DeGARMO & KEY’s style always has been sweet rock&pop melodic oriented according to times, and “This Ain’t Hollywood” has that FM Rock sound from 1980 similar to the first TOTO albums, the first BALANCE, etc, with smooth harmonies and WestCoast AOR touches.A young Jimi Jamison did backing vocals all over this album.

The band’s third album ”This Ain’t Hollywood” proved to establish a trilogy of classic albums that would stand the test of time. Featuring the opening “Stella, This Ain’t Hollywood,” a plea to evaluate one’s values against eternal destiny, DeGarmo and Key prove to be passionate songwriters.
The album also yielded two radio hits: “You Gave Me All,” an infectious slow rocker that charted at #19, and the duet with Amy Grant on “Nobody Loves Me,” which charted at #6 and led to DeGarmo & Key being a part of Amy Grant’s touring band.

The album also features the hooky “All You Need,” co-written with rocker Mylon LeFevre, who is also featured on backing vocals. Mylon would later record this song with his band, Look Up, when he was signed to CBS Records in 1987.
This album also became the first Christian rock album to be nominated for a Grammy award. Its timeless songs are now revitalized by a modern remastering preserving the ‘analog magic’ of the original recording
