Release from 2 DVDs. 1 DVD – Festival Express 1970. 2 DVDs – bonus. Festival Express 1970 – is unique among rock festivals. It was not held in one place, but took place in three Canadian cities – Toronto, Winnipeg and Calgary (Vancouver was supposed to be the fourth city, but was canceled due to the decree of Vancouver Mayor Tom Campbell, who was opposed to the hippie movement).

The original idea of the Festival Express was that the musicians would visit these cities on a special festival train, which was provided by the Canadian National Railway. The film shows the events that took place during the festival and the atmosphere of that time, numerous interviews with people who were directly involved in the organization and conduct of this unique festival. Many popular artists and bands of the time took part in the festivals – the Grateful Dead, The Band, Buddy Guy Blues Band, Janis Joplin and many others. Here is one of the latest videos of Janis Joplin filming.
