As requested, here’s the only version on SHM-CD / cardboard sleeve LP-replica of WHITESNAKE smash hit album 1987’s “1987“, also known a “Whitesnake” or “The Serpens Album”, remastered.
At this point there’s no need to add something about the album’s musical quality, just the release / pressing sound. This SHM-CD uses the 2000’s remastering job of the 9-track US Version. And we love it.
Sure, there’s the ’30th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition’ remastered 2017 which sounds really good too and you get a lot of extra juicy material. However… on this SHM-CD pressing the overall sound comes awesomely neat, the guitar just feels better.
In our opinion the best way to enjoy ‘1987’ is on vinyl, but regarding digital reissues, this Japanese pressing on SHM-CD is fabulous.
