NOW!

With a stranglehold on the title for coolest band name, ever, Lesbian Bed Death are set to unlock the casket and unleash their third album, Riot of the Living Dead – plus, it’s also the first album to feature new singer, Kittie Racchea.

A little bit of horror, a dash of goth, a splash of punk, and a whole lot of rock – that’s pretty much Riot of the Living Dead in a nutshell, folks. Splattered with blood, guts, ectoplasm and a sense of humour, the album consists of 13 wicked tracks about the macabre side of life.

Nearly every horror-themed band writes about Freddy and/or Jason, so I’m made an instant fan of this group, because they’ve decided to skip the conventional and pen a tune about the forlorn killer, whom no-one talks often enough – no, not Voldemort, but Ghost Face from theScream series. ‘Ghost Face’ aside, there are even more ghoulishly awesome songs lurking throughout Riot of the Living Dead – namely: the swaggering monster ‘Halloween; the Rick Grimes-approved title track ‘Riot of the Living Dead’; the howling ‘Moonlight’; the ballad of the zombie apocalypse ‘Seven Days’; and the contagious harlot anthem ‘Rockabilly Bitch’.
