British boogie rockers Foghat may have split up in the mid-’80s, but when they regrouped in 1994, their live show made it sound as if the band had never gone away, and they were still rocking hard in 1998 when this live video was recorded.

Sadly, this show turned out to be one of the last with the band’s founding guitar player Lonesome Dave Peverett; his health began to fail him after the end of this tour, and in 2000, he died of cancer. Foghat: Two Centuries of Boogie features the band’s original lineup tearing through 12 songs, including “Slow Ride,” “Fool for the City,” “I Just Want to Make Love to You,” “Rock Your House,” and “Leavin’ Again.”
This DVD captures a performance from legendary ’70s rock band Foghat. The disc offers a standard full-frame transfer. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Stereo. There are neither subtitles nor closed captions on this release. Although there are no supplemental materials of any consequence, fans of the band and rock enthusiasts.
A trouper till the end, the late Lonesome Dave Peverett went out like a true bluesman, with guitar in hand, touring with his beloved band, Foghat. This DVD documents one of the last performances of the legendary original Foghat line up of Dave, Rod Price, Roger Earl, and Tony Stevens that toured almost constantly through the 1970s and 1980s. Amazingly, even as a century ended and another began, the band’s and especially Dave’s passion for the music never waned and the concert captured on tape is as fitting a tribute as any to the enduring Foghat legacy. But anyone who lingers a second after the final encore, will experience another powerful tribute, with the stark and poignant photo montage that closes the program, set to one of Dave’s most beautiful melodies, “Angel of Mercy.” Whether you’re a lifelong fan of the band, or simply a connoisseur of the finest in blues/rock, it will be an experience to treasure. As is this DVD.
This 10 song concert was recorded in Dayton Ohio in 1997 with all original members is outstanding, It has 2 more bonus songs one “angel of mercy” is a tribute to the late Lonesome Dave, the other is an acoustic song “leavin’ again” which is played over the closing credits, It also has a band biography and a band photo gallery.
